Hunc ergo titulum multi Judaeorum legerunt, quia prope civitatem erat locus, ubi crucifixus est Jesus. Et erat scriptuiri hebraice, graece et latine. Dicebant ergo Pilato pontifices Judaeorum: Nolite scribere Rex Judaeorum, sed quia ipse dixit: Rex sum Judaeorum. Respondit Pilatus: Quod scripsi, scripsi.
